YMCA of Greensboro

YMCA Bright Beginnings is a community outreach program that provides children in need with new clothes and school supplies to start the school year with confidence and excitement. In addition to receiving school supplies, children are also given quality time with a responsible volunteer as they look for new outfits on a shopping trip to Wal-Mart. With your support, we can help each child be positioned for success. Shopping buddies are volunteers who go on YMCA donor-funded shopping trips with Bright Beginnings participants. Meeting at Wal-Mart, children are paired with their shopping buddies. At the end of the outing, the kids receive a backpack filled with school supplies.
