YMCA Bright Beginnings is a community outreach program that provides children in need with new clothes and school supplies to start the school year with confidence and excitement. With your support, we can help each child be positioned for success. Thank you for joining us as a Shopping Buddy Volunteer. This year we'll be shopping on August 13, 2026 (a Thursday) from 5:00pm - 7:00pm. Plan to arrive a bit earlier, around 4:45pm, for assignments and information. IMPORTANT UPDATE: As part of the YMCA of Greensboro's commitment to child safety, volunteers must follow the Rule of Three during shopping activities. The Rule of Three may include one volunteer with two children or two volunteers with one or more children. YMCA staff will provide supervision throughout the event, and volunteers must maintain continuous supervision by keeping children within sight at all times.
